Reports to: Concierge Manager and Front Office Manager
Overview:
The William Vale is seeking an experienced, polished, and well-connected Concierge to join our guest experience team. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional with 2+ years of concierge experience in a luxury lifestyle hotel environment, who brings impeccable taste, strong local knowledge, and a passion for curating unforgettable guest experiences.
As a Concierge, you will serve as a trusted resource and ambassador of our brand, providing personalized service and insider recommendations that reflect both the unique character of Brooklyn and the elevated standards of The William Vale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a gracious and knowledgeable first point of contact for guests seeking personalized recommendations, arrangements, and local guidance.
- Curate custom itineraries including exclusive dining reservations, VIP event access, transportation coordination, and cultural excursions.
- Act as a liaison between guests and local partners to deliver memorable, tailored experiences.
- Resolve guest requests and concerns with discretion, professionalism, and a solution-driven mindset.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local trends, happenings, and emerging hotspots.
- Collaborate with Front Office, Housekeeping, and other departments to anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
- Build and nurture relationships with repeat guests, offering intuitive service that feels personal and genuine.
- Manage daily concierge operations, maintaining accurate records of requests, contacts, and guest preferences.
- Uphold The William Vale’s commitment to privacy, luxury, and exceptional service at all times.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 3 years of concierge experience in a luxury or lifestyle hotel is required.
- Extensive knowledge of New York City and Brooklyn dining, culture, events, and attractions.
- Strong relationships with local vendors, restaurants, venues, and service providers a plus.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills—verbal and written—with a polished and approachable demeanor.
- Proficient in Opera Cloud, and Alice
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused approach to guest service.
- Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
- Must be flexible with schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
