The Kingston Resorts is a 145-acre oceanfront resort on the north-end of Myrtle Beach. Less than 2 miles from Tanger Outlets and a short 20 minute trip to Broadway at the Beach. This resort is home to the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort, Embassy Suites Myrtle Beach, Kingston Plantation Condos, and Royale Palms Condos. The Accounting Manager position is responsible but not limited to:

• Assist with preparing bank and other reconciliation.
• General cashiering and tracking house banks.
• Reconcile payroll and resolve any errors.
• Assist with month-end closing process including uploading any journals and running of reports.
• Reconcile and prepare balance sheets for the complex.
• Reviewing, investigating, and analyzing General Ledger variances. Call attention to trends and collect information.
• Assisting with year-end audit process and reporting.
• Ensure a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard asset and improve operations and profitability.
• Assist employee and 3^rd party with accounting related inquiries.
• Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence and encourage others; advocates sound financial/business decision making; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example.
• Fill in and support coworkers and team as needed to ensure efficient operation.
• Perform duties, special assignments and projects as requested by management.

Job requirements:

• Must have 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or payroll within the hospitality or similar industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent work experience required.
• Advance proficiency with Microsoft Excel required.
• Up to date with USALI knowledge.
• Experience with ProfitSword, Ottimate, and Birchstreet preferred but not required.

The role requires the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities. The individual must have a high energy level and the ability to be creative and think independently. Excellent organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills are a must.
