Cape Cod's Red Jacket Resort collection is seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator to join their team. This role will report directly to the Area Assistant Director of Finance. The position requires excellent verbal communication and team engagement skills. The individual must ensure that the voice of the resorts is properly conveyed in an engaging and refined manner. The position will be based out of our regional accounting office located at Waquassett Resort and Golf Club in Harwich, MA. There is a potential for hybrid workweek after a 90 day training period.

The Account Coordinator position is responsible but not limited to:

• Enter invoices and maintain accurate payables records.
• Process and prepare weekly check payments, obtaining authorizing signatures and filing.
• Research and resolve payables issues with employee and 3rd party vendor including reconciling statements.
• Assist with guest and credit card disputes.
• Manage the receivables aging with Front of House operations and Sales & Catering.
• Reviewing, investigating, and analyzing statements. Call attention to trends and collect information.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing process including uploading any journals and running of reports.
• Ensure a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard asset and improve operations and profitability.
• Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence and encourage others; advocates sound financial/business decision making; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example.
• Fill in and support coworkers and team as needed to ensure efficient operation.
• Perform duties, special assignments and projects as requested by management.

Job requirements:

• Must have experience in hospitality or a similar industry.
• Understanding of basic principles of accounting and bookkeeping.
• Advance proficiency with Microsoft Excel required.
• High school diploma or equivalent. Experience with Acumatica and Birchstreet preferred but not required.

The role requires the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities. The individual must have a high energy level and the ability to be creative and think independently. Excellent organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills are also required.
