Description

  • Understands and upholds Chico’s Employment Guidelines, policies, standards and procedures.
  • Understands and promotes Chico culture by engaging all others with a positive,enthusiastic attitude at all times. Acts as a role model for Chico culture, mission and vision.
  • Supervises every phase of projects from development, budget, cost, planning, timeline, execution, completion.
  • Oversees Engineering Manager in preparing daily work assignments for staff, facilitates daily huddles, and balances workload if a team is ahead of schedule. Assigns clear expectations for work/time allotments.
  • Evaluates functionality and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by conferring with operating departments; identifying problems and efficiently addressing them.
  • Acts as the primary contact for Vendors for POM related projects.
  • Maintains appearance, function and reliability of facility building, systems and associated equipment by implementing a preventive maintenance program; operating and testing systems and equipment; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts.
  • Maintains safe work environment by following Chico Loss Control standards and procedures and ensuring that staff comply with legal codes and regulations.
  • Manages and participates in general maintenance labor, such as moving furniture, painting, construction, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, installing equipment, trash disposal, assembly, and roofing.
  • Manages and participates in maintaining grounds for appearance and safety, including but not limited to landscaping, snow removal, sanding and salting.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and keeping certifications active.
  • Is responsible for managing performance in an ongoing, consistent manner. Conducts yearly evaluations in a thoughtful and timely manner. Addresses conflicts and discipline privately. Uses proper documentation.
  • Is responsible for monitoring job satisfaction and individual development of staff. Ensures staff have continued training and education.
  • Provides strong leadership, support and encouragement to team members.
  • Helps facilitate monthly department huddles, providing clear and constructive input for staff.
  • Is responsible for writing weekly labor schedules using Hotel Effectiveness. Schedules to be published 2 weeks out.
  • Attends monthly Managers Huddles and comes prepared with required accounting figures.
  • Is responsible for upholding guidelines for self and staff in regards to dress code and personal hygiene.
  • Is responsible for enforcing and adhering to company smoking policy.
  • Is available to work weekends, holidays and as needed for emergencies.
  • Is responsible for cleanliness, organization and security of all Maintenance work and storage areas.
  • Is responsible for secure and safe storage of all combustibles.
  • Is responsible for maintaining fleet of maintenance vehicles, as well as secure parking and key storage.
