Description
Chico Hot Springs is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to help keep our historic property running smoothly. This role reports to the Director of Engineering and works across all departments to support daily operations.
What You’ll Do
- Respond to maintenance calls across the property
- Perform repairs (plumbing, HVAC, heating, guest rooms, general maintenance)
- Complete preventative maintenance on equipment
- Take daily readings on equipment, meters, and temperatures
- Assist with irrigation, landscaping, and general labor as needed
- Complete routine maintenance tasks, including painting, carpentry, and plumbing
- Communicate with departments on maintenance needs and updates
- Respond to emergency situations as needed
- Help manage parts, materials, and supply needs
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years in maintenance, engineering, or facilities
- Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and general repairs
- Hotel or resort experience preferred
- HVAC/CFC certification a plus
- Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
