Job Summary

Tranquility Bay Beachfront Resort is seeking a detail-oriented Housekeeping Inspector to ensure guest rooms, suites, and public areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest readiness.

This role is responsible for inspecting rooms after they have been cleaned, identifying deficiencies, coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance teams, and ensuring all areas are prepared for arriving guests. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail and takes pride in maintaining exceptional quality standards.

Responsibilities

Room & Public Area Inspections

  • Inspect guest rooms, suites, and public areas to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are met
  • Verify rooms are properly stocked with linens, amenities, and guest supplies
  • Ensure guest rooms are ready for arrival according to resort standards
  • Identify housekeeping deficiencies and coordinate corrections as needed

Quality Control & Operations

  • Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and operational issues to the appropriate departments
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping, Front Desk, and Engineering teams to ensure rooms are available on schedule
  • Monitor room status and communicate updates throughout the day
  • Assist with special projects and deep-cleaning inspections as assigned

Guest Service & Reporting

  • Assist in resolving guest concerns related to room cleanliness or condition
  • Document inspection findings and recurring issues
  • Prepare inspection reports and communicate findings to housekeeping leadership
  • Ensure compliance with resort cleanliness, safety, and operational standards

Inventory & Compliance

  • Monitor inventory levels of linens, amenities, and housekeeping supplies
  • Report supply needs to prevent shortages
  • Follow all resort safety, security, and housekeeping procedures

Qualifications

  • Previous housekeeping or hotel experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to identify cleanliness and maintenance concerns
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain productivity throughout the shift
  • Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
