Compensation: $75,000 to $85,000 per year
Description
OverviewThe Accounting Manager will be responsible for the daily accounting operations for a cluster of Select Service hotels, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency. This role manages key accounting functions including financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, budgeting, and internal controls while supporting strategic decision-making and maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity across the Select Service division.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Manage the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), local, state, and federal financial regulations, and company policies.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and addressing inquiries.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and internal controls.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to senior management and department heads to support strategic decision-making and business objectives.
- Partner with other departments (Operations, Sales, Revenue, HR, etc.) to ensure financial data supports profitability goals.
- Monitor cash flow, manage billing and collections, and oversee payroll processing.
- Demonstrate a team-focused attitude, humility, and collaboration across departments to uphold the service culture and financial excellence.
- Comply with all policies as outlined in the Handbook, Property Supplement, or otherwise issued including time and attendance expectations, uniform and dress code standards, anti-harassment policy, and substances in the workplace.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or equivalent years of experience.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Superior user capabilities in computer software products including Acumatica, ProfitSword, with PMS/POS experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP, financial regulations, and internal controls.
- Experience in hospitality/shared services accounting is a strong plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrates natural leadership qualities with a positive, detail-oriented, and team-oriented attitude.
- Expresses sincere enthusiasm for the role and passion for hospitality finance.
- Must know how to prioritize, delegate, and respond in a timely fashion. Able to work under pressure, multi-task, and stay focused while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Ability to thrive in an ever-changing environment and contribute to the division’s financial success and operational excellence.
- Successful completion of a satisfactory background check.
Annual salary range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000
