Job Summary: The Bar Supervisor oversees daily operations of the Beach Bar and other bar outlets at Isla Bella Beach Resort, ensuring exceptional guest service, high-quality beverage preparation, and a welcoming atmosphere. This role leads a team of bartenders and bar staff, maintains inventory, and upholds resort standards for cleanliness, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and train bar staff, including bartenders, servers, and support team, to deliver outstanding service and maintain a professional, friendly demeanor.
• Oversee beverage preparation, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to resort recipes for alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
• Manage bar operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and accurate processing of guest charges.
• Monitor inventory levels, requisition supplies, and minimize waste to control costs while ensuring adequate stock.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations, including Florida liquor laws and resort policies.
• Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints promptly and professionally to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe bar environment, adhering to resort sanitation standards and OSHA guidelines.
• Coordinate with the Food & Beverage Manager to plan special events, live music, and promotions at the Beach Bar.
• Foster a positive team culture, encouraging respect, teamwork, and collaboration among staff.
• Perform bartending duties as needed during peak periods or staff shortages.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a bar supervisory or lead bartender role, preferably in a resort or upscale hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of mixology, beverage trends, and inventory management.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills, with a focus on creating memorable experiences.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
• Valid Florida Food Handler and Responsible Vendor certifications (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or beverage management certification is a plus.
