Department: Housekeeping

Direct Report: Director of Housekeeping

Purpose: The Inspector ensures standards are met by auditing guest rooms, public areas, and amenities for cleanliness and safety.

OVERVIEW:

The Inspector verifies that rooms are properly prepared for arrivals, reports maintenance issues, monitors staff performance, and ensures compliance with brand standards to maintain a positive guest experience.

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Inspect guest rooms following highest quality standards
  • Verifies that rooms and residences are staged and prepared for guest arrival
  • Reports maintenance needs accordingly
  • Monitors and helps with the creation of daily housekeeping boards/assignments
  • Assists with performing inventory of linen and supplies
  • Ensures employees are using/handling cleaning chemicals safely
  • On occasion and during off season will be required to clean rooms

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Ability to remain standing for up to 10 hours
  • Ability to move up and down stairs
  • Ability to move quickly based on guest needs
  • Ability to regularly move and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to move, traverse, position self to reach corners on floors and high places.
  • Ability to observe conditions and detect odors
  • Ability to notice and inspect small details
  • Ability to position and navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces
  • Ability to operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads and dusters
  • Ability to communicate and exchange information effectively
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand basic English
  • Ability to complete a satisfactory background check
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business requires

  • Must know how to prioritize, delegate, and respond in a timely fashion. Able to work under pressure, multi-task, and stay focused while maintaining hospitality
