About the Position

Isla Bella Beach Resort is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Dishwasher / Steward to join our Culinary team in Marathon, Florida.

In this role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen while supporting daily restaurant operations, banquets, weddings, and special events. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining high cleanliness standards, works well with others, and enjoys a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, clean, and sanitize dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, dishwashing, and food preparation areas.

• Sweep, mop, and deep-clean kitchen floors, walls, countertops, and equipment.

• Clean and sanitize ovens, grills, walk-in refrigerators, and other kitchen equipment.

• Properly organize and store clean dishes, utensils, and supplies.

• Empty trash and recycling containers and maintain clean disposal areas.

• Assist with receiving, unloading, and organizing food and supply deliveries.

• Restock kitchen and service supplies as needed.

• Assist with banquet setup and breakdown for weddings, conferences, and special events.

• Support the Culinary team with basic food preparation and transporting supplies as assigned.

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, chemical handling, and workplace safety procedures.

• Report maintenance, safety, or sanitation concerns to management.

Qualifications

• Previous dishwashing, stewarding, kitchen, or hospitality experience preferred but not required.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.

• Dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented.

• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.

• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

• Ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to work in hot, humid, and physically demanding kitchen environments.
