Restaurant Supervisor- Salt & Ash

Description

The Restaurant Supervisor oversees daily floor operations at Salt + Ash, ensuring exceptional guest service, efficient service flow, and adherence to luxury hospitality standards. This role supervises front-of-house staff, supports training and scheduling, and ensures the restaurant operates smoothly during each shift.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Service

  • Supervise daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts
  • Ensure all service standards and luxury hospitality protocols are followed
  • Monitor table service, pacing, and guest satisfaction
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures
  • Coordinate communication between kitchen and front-of-house teams
  • Resolve guest complaints or service issues quickly and professionally

Staff Supervision

  • Supervise servers, hosts, bussers, runners, and bartenders
  • Assist with employee training and onboarding
  • Ensure staff follow grooming, uniform, and service standards
  • Assign sections and manage floor coverage during service
  • Provide coaching and feedback to improve team performance

Guest Experience

  • Welcome and interact with guests to ensure satisfaction
  • Handle VIP guests and special requests
  • Maintain a positive, welcoming atmosphere
  • Anticipate guest needs and support service staff

Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Follow alcohol service laws and responsible beverage service practices
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area
  • Ensure proper POS usage and accurate order handling

Administrative Support

  • Assist managers with scheduling and shift planning
  • Support inventory checks and supply management
  • Monitor labor efficiency and service flow
  • Help track guest feedback and operational improvements

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of restaurant or hospitality experience
  • Previous supervisory or team-lead experience preferred
  • Experience in upscale or resort dining environments
  • Strong knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
