Description

  • Coordinate with the Banquet Manager, clients, and event planners to review event details, including menu, timeline, and guest count.
  • Oversee the setup of banquet rooms according to event specifications, including table arrangements, decorations, and audio-visual equipment.
  • Lead and supervise banquet servers, bartenders, and other event staff to ensure they follow proper service standards.
  • Assign tasks to banquet staff, ensuring efficient and effective event service.
  • Provide staff training and support, ensuring proper handling of food, beverages, and guest requests.
  • Greet and interact with guests, ensuring that their needs and special requests are met.
  • Address any issues or complaints promptly, aiming to provide a positive guest experience.
  • Oversee the service of food and beverages during events, ensuring that all courses are delivered in a timely manner.
  • Maintain communication with the kitchen and bar to ensure smooth flow and coordination during events.
  • Supervise the post-event breakdown and cleanup of banquet spaces, ensuring all equipment and furniture are properly stored.
  • Ensure cleanliness and reset of the banquet room for future events.
  • Complete event reports, noting any guest feedback or issues for future improvement.
  • Manage inventory of banquet supplies and equipment, ensuring everything is in good working order.
  • Prior experience in banquet or event services, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, able to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods, as events can be physically demanding.
